Ojakhuri entered the US market

Ojakhuri entered the US market

The Georgian spice company „Ojakhuri“ entered the US market and shipped the first batch of products about one month ago.

Salome Neparidze, the marketing and public relations manager of „Ojakhuri“, told Business Insider Georgia that Abkhazian adjika and mustard were sent to the US market, in addition to spices.

„We sent about 25 types of spices to the USA. We have a representative in the US, in Los Angeles, who helps us solve sales issues in network markets, along with our export team and manager“, - says the company representative.

According to their information, out of the 25 products sent, the highest demand is for Abkhazian adjika and mustard.

„We will observe the trend of what customers want in the local market, and the next stages of export to the US market will be planned accordingly. The US market is massive, and we think it's a big business opportunity. We want to cover other states besides Los Angeles. We have an encouraging forecast. Another batch is scheduled to be shipped next week. It takes 2-3 days to bring products to the USA by air“, - says Salome Neparidze.

The company obtained an FDI certificate before entering the US market. „Before the products were shipped, we resolved this issue and successfully started exporting“, the company said.

As it is known, „Ojakhuri“ produces not only single spices but also mixed spices intended for different dishes. As a result, customers do not have to buy several types in separate packages because the company has already combined them into one package.

For your information, „Ojakhuri“ was founded in 2010, and 70 people are employed in the enterprise“
