Autumn flavor in Ojakhuri's assortment

Autumn flavor in Ojakhuri's assortment

The flavor that best suits the fall season is cinnamon, according to Salome Neparidze, the marketing and public relations manager of the renowned Georgian spice company, Ojakhuri's. She shared her perspective on this sought-after spice with Business Insider Georgia, emphasizing its use in various seasonal recipes, particularly in cookies and pumpkin dishes.

„Cinnamon is a spice known for its spicy taste and aromatic qualities, primarily used in cooking. While it's suitable for all seasons, it finds a special place in autumn. Besides its aroma, cinnamon is valued for its diverse properties, including its medicinal uses. In the past, Georgian consumers were less acquainted with this spice, but now it's a staple in almost every household. Cinnamon has become one of the most sought-after products, with ground cinnamon being especially relevant during this season. It's widely used in pumpkin dishes, likely because its taste and warm color are closely associated with the essence of autumn“, - says Salome Neparidze.

Ojakhuri's cinnamon is readily available in nearly every supermarket today. In terms of pricing, ground cinnamon costs 3.35 GEL in chain markets, while cinnamon sticks are priced at 7.75 GEL.

For your reference, cinnamon is a spice derived from the dried bark of the cinnamon tree, with its origins in Sri Lanka.
